KAMPALA, UGANDA — The family of Martha Ahumuza Muraali, a young woman who mysteriously died at a popular Kampala nightclub, has vowed to uncover the truth behind her untimely passing.
During an emotional prayer service at All Saints Church Nakasero on Saturday, Martha’s father, Seth Muraali, expressed deep anguish over his daughter’s death and pledged to seek justice.
“I can assure the public and relatives that we shall get to the bottom of this,” Muraali said, visibly distraught. “No matter the cost, we shall get to the bottom of this.”
Martha’s mother, Barbra Muraali, broke down in tears during the service, lamenting that her daughter had died before fulfilling her promises to her family and herself.
Martha, described by friends as a vibrant and ambitious young woman, was reportedly found unresponsive at Mezo Noir nightclub under unclear circumstances. While initial reports suggest foul play may be involved, authorities have yet to release an official statement on the cause of her death.
The family’s quest for justice comes as questions continue to swirl around the events leading up to Martha’s tragic demise. Her body was transported to her ancestral home at Nyarubaga village in Mbarara, where she was laid to rest on Sunday.
