Police shower Kasese church with cash in PR Blitz

KASESE, Uganda  The Uganda Police Force (UPF) contributed to the construction of the new Kasese Catholic Cathedral during a special fundraising event Sunday.

The Regional Police Commander (RPC), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Odoch Dennis, led the initiative and participated in the event alongside other officers.

Addressing worshippers, SSP Odoch Dennis encouraged them to practice their faith by living responsibly and avoiding criminal behavior.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Mbusa, who presided over the mass, expressed his gratitude to the police force for their donation and active involvement. “Their contribution is a sign that together, we can build a stronger, safer, and more united community,” he said.

The new Kasese Catholic Cathedral is expected to serve as a central place of worship and community gathering for thousands in the region upon completion.

In recent years, the Uganda Police Force has focused on strengthening its relationship with the communities it serves through various engagement activities. This improved connection was also evident during Good Friday celebrations when officers nationwide joined believers in the Way of the Cross, including participating in carrying the cross.
