New Era for Uganda Police as 3,444 PPCs Join Force with Call to Serve with Integrity

In a vibrant and symbolic ceremony held at the Police Training School (PTS) in Kabalye, a new chapter was written for the Uganda Police Force as 3,444 Probationer Police Constables (PPCs) officially completed their training and joined the ranks.

As the country looks ahead to major national events, including the 2026 general elections, the graduating officers were urged to step into their new roles with strength, discipline, and a deep sense of service.

Addressing the young officers, ACP Ezekiel Emitu, the Commandant of the school, delivered a motivating charge that echoed the weight of the responsibility now resting on their shoulders.

“The ball is now in your court to play your part. Prepare for the great tasks ahead. Transform the knowledge and skills gained through training into tools for overcoming the challenges. Be strong, confident, and believe in your abilities to succeed,” ACP Emitu told the newly passed-out officers.

Beyond the ceremonial celebrations, the event served as a serious reminder of the expectations awaiting the fresh recruits.

With the evolving security demands and a society in need of trustworthy service, the new officers were reminded of the essence of community policing.

“You must support wealth creators and contribute to building a prosperous society. Lead by example, prioritize service above self, and uphold community trust. Our nation’s future depends on your commitment,” ACP Emitu added.

As the PPCs prepare for deployment, they carry not just badges and uniforms but the hope of a more secure, fair, and just Uganda.

Their presence is expected to significantly boost manpower on the ground, especially in sensitive times like the electoral season.

The call to action was clear: be mentally alert, physically ready, and morally grounded. Uganda’s future peace and progress may well hinge on how these 3,444 officers rise to the moment.
