Police are investigating a suspected case of murder involving two officers at Naguru Police Barracks, where a police constable reportedly shot and killed his colleague.
It is alleged that the suspect demanded Shs 500,000 from the deceased, which may have led to the fatal incident.

According to the Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke, the incident occurred this afternoon and involved Police Constable Natujuna Everest, who allegedly shot and killed fellow officer Constable Muhangi Arthur. Natujuna is currently on the run.
“Today, 29th May 2025, in the afternoon, we registered a suspected murder at Naguru Police Barracks. One Police Constable Muhangi Arthur is said to have been shot and killed by a colleague, Police Constable Natujuna Everest, who is currently on the run,” Rusoke said.
He added that the suspect abandoned the weapon used in the shooting before fleeing the scene.
“Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the shooting. Once we get him, that’s when we shall precisely determine the motive and any other details incidental to this occurrence,” Onyango stated.
