Social media posts showed a small, respectful gathering, underscoring the family’s profound grief and the somber nature of the occasion.

Rajiv Ruparelia, 35, died on the morning of Saturday, May 1, following a fatal accident along the Busaabala Highway. He was cremated on May 6 at the Hindu Crematorium in Lugogo, Kampala.

During Tuesday’s final rites, Sudhir Ruparelia delivered a heartfelt tribute to his son, sharing cherished memories and reflecting on Rajiv’s compassionate character. He encouraged Rajiv’s friends and loved ones to honor his legacy by embracing charity and acts of kindness, values that were important to his son.

Rajiv Ruparelia is survived by his wife, Naiya Ruparelia, and their young daughter, Inara.
