Police has announced a UGX 50 million reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect behind the brutal murder of a couple in Entebbe earlier this month.
The victims, Mr. Mutaaga David and his wife, Deborah Florence Mutaaga, were killed on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in what police have described as a targeted and tragic attack. Authorities say investigations are ongoing, and a multi-agency manhunt is currently underway.
“We registered the murder of Mr. Mutaaga David and his wife, Deborah Florence Mutaaga, in Entebbe. In collaboration with other security agencies, the police are actively searching for the suspects and gathering evidence,” said Police Spokesperson SCP Kituuma Rusoke in a press briefing.
A key lead in the investigation is a voice recording believed to belong to the suspect. Police are calling on the public to listen carefully and report if they recognize the voice.
“We have obtained a recording of the suspect’s voice and urge anyone who recognizes it to come forward and help identify the individual,” Rusoke added.
To encourage public cooperation, the Uganda Police is offering a cash reward of UGX 50 million to anyone who provides credible information that leads to the suspect’s apprehension.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the police via +256-769 675 918.
