NRM’s New Central Executive Committee Leadership for 2025–2030

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has officially announced its new Central Executive Committee (CEC) leadership for the 2025–2030 term, with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni retaining his position as National Chairperson.

The newly elected team is as follows:

National Chairperson: Yoweri Kaguta Museveni
1st National Vice Chairperson: Al-Hajji Moses Kigongo
2nd National Vice Chairperson (Female): Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among
Vice Chairperson (Northern): Denis Hamson Obua
Vice Chairperson (Eastern): David Calvin Echodu
Vice Chairperson (Central): Hon. Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo
Vice Chairperson (Western): Jornad Asiimwe Akiiki
Vice Chairperson (Karamoja): John Baptist Loki
Vice Chairperson (Kampala): Salim Uhuru

President Museveni announced the suspension of the Entrepreneurs and Youth Leagues elections, citing gross electoral irregularities, voter bribery, and chaotic conduct. He said the party, together with its Electoral Commission, will announce a fresh date for these contests to ensure a credible and transparent process.

Speaking after the results, Museveni emphasized unity within the party and urged all members to rally behind the new leadership as they prepare for upcoming national challenges.

The announcement marks a critical step for the NRM as it seeks to consolidate its organizational structure ahead of the 2026 general election.
