Nameere Speaks Out on Clash With Full Figure, Demands Fair Probe

Masaka Woman MP NRM flagbearer and presidential advisor Justine Nameere has broken her silence on the violent clash with fellow advisor Jennifer Nakangubi, alias Full Figure, accusing police of double standards in the way complaints against her rival are handled.

Nameere, who together with her husband is wanted over allegations of robbery and assault, said law enforcement is quick to act on Full Figure’s reports but dismissive of other complainants. “She first told police I hired goons who stabbed her in the dark. Later she claimed my husband beat her. Now she is dragging me into her escapades because I am her latest victim,” she posted on X (formerly Twitter).

The former TV presenter also alleged that Full Figure has a history of slapping and harassing others while police officers look on. She called on authorities to investigate all outstanding cases fairly, noting that beneath the public spectacle are communities still hurting from her rival’s actions.

Police, however, insist the matter is being handled by the book. Spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke confirmed that over the weekend videos circulated online showing a woman believed to be Full Figure being attacked along Kyadondo Road. The victim later reported both assault and theft of Shs500,000 and a phone.

“Our procedures are clear. Every suspect must answer. If the evidence is sufficient, court will take its course,” Rusoke said on Monday at police headquarters in Naguru.

The feud between the two presidential advisers has been simmering since the NRM Central Region CEC polls, where Nameere backed businessman Moses Karangwa while Full Figure campaigned for Minister Haruna Kasolo, who eventually won.

That rivalry spilled from social media into the streets on Friday, when viral clips showed men punching and kicking Full Figure as a woman’s voice accused her of insulting a husband. She was later rushed to Nakasero Hospital, where she remains admitted with facial injuries.
