Uganda Police Hosts Egyptian Delegation on Forensics and ICT Tour

The Uganda Police Force has hosted a delegation of six senior Egyptian police officials on a working visit aimed at strengthening cooperation in policing, technology, and forensic science.

Led by Brigadier General Ahmed Youssry Mohamed Hashem, the delegation toured the Directorate of Forensic Services, where they were briefed on the unit’s laboratory capabilities, forensic roles, and ongoing training initiatives.

The discussions also explored opportunities for collaboration between the two countries in advancing forensic investigations.

The Egyptian team later visited the Directorate of ICT, where they were taken through the operations of the National Command Center.

The visit highlighted the center’s strategic role in enhancing policing communication and coordination across the country.

The engagement reflects Uganda Police’s efforts to expand international partnerships and modernize its systems in line with global standards of law enforcement.
