Musician Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, has been arrested in connection with the death of Wilfred Namuwaya, alias Top Dancer, police have confirmed.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, SSP Patrick Onyango, said Alien Skin reported himself earlier today to the Director of Crime Intelligence, who later handed him over to Katwe Police Station.
“Patrick Mulwana, alias Alien Skin, today reported himself to police, specifically to the Director of Crime Intelligence, who handed him over to Katwe Police. And at Katwe Police, as I speak now, they are recording his statement,” SSP Onyango told journalists.
According to police, investigators want to establish the singer’s side of the story following allegations that he instructed his group members in connection with the assault of the late Namuwaya.
“The police wants to know his side of the story because the allegations are that he’s the one who instructed his boys against the late Namwaya Wilfred, alias Top Dancer. So, police is now getting his side of the story. After that, the file will be compiled and sent to the State Attorney for perusal and legal advice,” SSP Onyango added.
Alien Skin remains in custody at Katwe Police Station as investigations continue.
