Treescape Planet Organization has teamed up with Travad Tours Uganda Ltd to pioneer eco-tourism initiatives that blend travel with environmental restoration.
The partnership, officially launched on Monday aims to make every tourist experience in Uganda a step toward sustainability—planting a tree for every trip.
The inaugural activity took place at Christ the King High School in Bweya, where students, teachers, and community members joined forces with the organizations to plant trees that will support biodiversity, provide shade, and contribute to carbon sequestration.
Speaking on the collaboration, Treescape Planet Organization emphasized the broader vision behind the initiative.
“Travel should not only create memories; it should also leave the environment better than we found it. Through this partnership, every trip becomes an opportunity to restore ecosystems and build climate-aware communities.”
Travad Tours Uganda Ltd echoed this enthusiasm, highlighting the growing significance of sustainable travel.
“Eco-tourism is the future of travel. By integrating tree-planting and conservation activities into our adventures, we give travelers a deeper, more meaningful connection to Uganda’s landscapes and people.”
The partnership will soon roll out a series of programs aimed at creating eco-conscious travel experiences.
These include eco-friendly travel packages, hands-on tree-planting tours, environmental education for visitors and local communities, support for schools and restoration sites, and community-led climate action projects.
By merging tourism with sustainability, Treescape Planet and Travad Tours hope to transform Uganda’s travel sector into a catalyst for environmental restoration while empowering communities to actively participate in preserving their natural heritage.
This initiative positions Uganda not just as a destination for adventure but as a model for responsible, climate-conscious travel in Africa.
