The Electoral Commission (EC) on Monday commenced the packing of Presidential ballot papers as part of preparations for the 2026 General Election.
The exercise was witnessed by representatives of political parties and candidates, demonstrating the Commission’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive stakeholder participation throughout the electoral process.
The EC said that involving party agents and candidates in the ballot paper packing process is part of measures aimed at ensuring public confidence in the integrity of the election. 
Officials confirmed that the packed ballot papers will be securely stored and later distributed to polling stations nationwide ahead of the elections.
The Commission continues to assure voters and stakeholders that all preparations for the 2026 polls are being conducted in line with legal frameworks and best practices, emphasizing fairness and transparency in all electoral activities.
