Uganda Draws Global Attention at World of Coffee Dubai

Uganda’s coffee industry took center stage at the World of Coffee Dubai Exhibition (January 18–20), as the event doubled its visitor numbers from 3,000 to more than 6,000, signaling rising global demand and a growing footprint for African coffee producers.

Led by Uganda’s Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Aisa Ismail, and officials from the Embassy, the country’s delegation used the platform to promote Uganda as a reliable source of high-quality coffee and a strategic partner in the international market.

The exhibition created opportunities for direct engagement with global buyers, roasters, and distributors, many of whom expressed strong interest in Ugandan coffee, particularly in the specialty segment.

From fermented varieties to single-origin specialty blends, Uganda showcased the depth of its coffee profile and its capacity to meet evolving consumer tastes.

Among the standout exhibitors was Balambuli Kwigate Coffee, whose branding and promotion attracted significant attention, reinforcing Uganda’s growing reputation for premium coffee on the global stage.
