The Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, is expected to officially release the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examination results on Friday.
The results will be announced at a function to be held at State House, Nakasero, according to sources familiar with the preparations.
A total of 32,159 candidates sat for the Senior Four examinations this year. This is an increase compared to last year’s 379,748 candidates, reflecting a rise in the number of learners completing lower secondary education.
The UCE examinations started on October 13, 2025, with Geography in the morning and Biology (Theory) in the afternoon. Candidates were examined from 4,308 centres across the country.
UNEB said the 2025 examinations were conducted under the theme “Embracing Security and Holistic Assessment of Learners in a Dynamic Environment,” with a focus on improving exam safety and assessing students beyond rote learning.
Thousands of students, parents and schools are now eagerly waiting for the results, which will determine placement into A-level and other post-secondary programmes.
